Why did I call this thing Elkhound? Well, many of the other parser generators' names have an animal theme (actually, they tend to be ungulates, but whatever), I like Norwegian Elkhounds, and their (very) furry coat reminded me of multiple parsers pursuing parallel interpretations, so there you have it. Also, I'm terrible at coming up with names so I seized upon the first one I thought of which didn't sound just plain stupid, and it's too late to change it now.
