  Note: In the default configuration of Elsa, it enables the compiler's optimizer, but the gcc-3.3.2 optimizer on SPARC will emit broken exception handling code, resulting in the symptom that make check will fail with a SIGABRT while testing in/t0516.cc. The short-term solution is to configure elsa/ to not use the optimizer:

        $ cd elsa
        $ ./configure -no-dash-O2
        $ make clean all check
      

  The long-term solution is to move the block of code that catches the exception into the notopt.cc module, which I will do before the next release.

This version appears to fail on:

• mingw32: Elsa has not been ported to mingw32, though smbase has limited support for it.

Systems where previous versions of this software have worked, but I am either too lazy or do not have the necessary access to test this version:
